About us

Havencore is a family-owned and operated business, founded in 2025, in Salem, Virginia, right in their very own kitchen. The idea for the consulting firm, and the services they would offer, began as a casual conversation between Sarah and her husband, Travis. What started as jokes and daydreams about growing a business overnight with a small initial investment quickly transformed into a serious question: 

"What's stopping us?"

From that moment, they created a comprehensive business plan, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Travis plays a vital general operations role, he is HIPPA trained, while also specializing in marketing. He transforms Sarah's ideas into tangible designs. His humor and lighthearted approach make him a valuable team asset.

Sarah's professional journey began in 2014, shifting from a stay-at-home parent to pursuing higher education. She initially enrolled in business administration classes at Patrick Henry Community College in Martinsville, VA. During her studies, she was encouraged to explore human services, recognizing her inherent skills and passion for helping others. This new path became her primary focus, driving her to excel.

She transferred to New College Institute, an institution catering to non-traditional students, and earned a Bachelor's degree in social work from Longwood University. Subsequently, she completed a Master's degree in social work through Louisiana State University's advanced program. Following graduate school, she gained over 3,000 residency hours at agencies such as Strategic Therapy Associate's, Family Service of Roanoke Valley, The West End Center and Intercept Health before going on to earn her professional license in the state of Virginia.

She is a dedicated, focused, and empathetic individual, approaching every interaction with unconditional positive regard.
